Seddon has successfully been appointed to two frameworks for delivering new build schemes on a national and regional level.
Following a competitive tender process, Seddon has been named a member of the Delivery Partner Panel 3 (DPP3), which is used by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and a wide range of other public sector bodies to speed the procurement of new homes in England.
The Panel has to date enabled procurement of 45,000 homes on 250 sites. DPP3 will be procured as an OJEU compliant Framework, with key aims to:
- enable faster and more efficient procurement of homes
- encourage a wider range of companies to work with the public sector to speed housebuilding
- find new ways for the public sector, housebuilders and contractors to work together.
Seddon has also been chosen as a Preferred Supplier by STAR Procurement, a shared procurement service between Stockport, Trafford and Rochdale Councils.
As part of the framework agreement, the Associated Building Contractor Framework 1 [Building (General), Building (D&B) & Roofing], Seddon is able to bid for associated works being procured by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council.
Peter Jackson, managing director of Seddon, said: “Our appointment to both the DPP3 and the STAR Procurement frameworks is yet another fantastic testament to the high profile work we do on a national and regional level for local authorities and other public sector bodies.
“We will now be able to build on our vast experience in delivering much needed affordable housing and other vital construction works to help meet the demand for future generations.”
