Housebuilder appoints Seddon to create new North West headquarters

Bloor Homes has enlisted Seddon to lead on the construction of its new North West regional head office building in Holmes Chapel.

The housebuilder is set to move into its new base early next year and has appointed the family-run construction firm for the multi-million pound project.

Situated next to Bloor Homes’ development, Bluebell Green, the scheme will comprise a 2,000-square metre main building, along with two 1,000-square metre commercial spaces that will be available for lease.

The move follows a successful period of growth for Bloor Homes, in which its North West business has grown by 23% over the course of two years.

Now, the company is looking forward to relocating next January after awarding the £5 million-pound contract to Seddon.

Rhys Nicholson, North West Regional Managing Director for Bloor Homes, said: “We’re extremely proud of our Cheshire roots and did not want to move out of the Holmes Chapel area. This location is absolutely perfect as it’s only minutes from junction 18 of the M6, and allows us to create a brand new space where we can continue to grow.

“We were impressed by Seddon’s reputation and felt there was a real understanding of our vision – for example, we knew we wanted our new building to fit in with its rural surroundings and the team at Seddon worked with us to deliver viable solutions. We’re looking forward to seeing the finished product and moving our team in.”

The new, two-storey head office will comprise six meeting rooms, a specialist training suite and more than 900 square metres of open plan office space, as well as 150 car parking spaces.

The scheme, which will be known as Campion Park and located just half a mile from Bloor Homes’ current head office near to Holmes Chapel railway station, is due for completion in November.

Ed Wootton, Regional Director at Seddon, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Bloor Homes on this project and have worked hard to ensure that the building complements the surroundings, through the use of timber cladding, pitched roof and brickwork in keeping with local area.

“We know the company is going from strength to strength and we’re pleased to be part of its growth as it continues to build on its success and looks forward to a new chapter.”
