Small Works, Extensions and Alterations

Working across a range of sectors, our teams work collaboratively with customers and end users to deliver innovative and complex schemes of work. This includes structural alterations, refurbishment, extension and new build works within live environments where close liaison with the customer and end user is essential.

Projects, ranging in value from £10k to £2m, are delivered under a wide range of construction contracts including traditional, design and build, framework and partnering arrangements.

Fit-Out and Refurbishment

Our experience in refurbishment extends from the simple and straightforward on a relatively small scale, to the most comprehensive and demanding large-scale projects.

In-house expertise in structural works, stabilisation of existing fabric, renovation, installation of services and painting and decoration, sit firmly under the professional management of experienced refurbishment teams, all delivered to the highest quality standards.

Mechanical and Electrical

We design, supply, install, test, commission and maintain plumbing, mechanical and public health services, delivering bespoke and cost effective solutions for our clients in various sectors, as well as providing planned and reactive maintenance services.

A management team of former tradesmen, oversee our team of over 50 fully trained and experienced mechanical services engineers, providing customers with a wealth of experience in the building services sector.

Land Finding and Development

Our in-house development teams have an excellent track record of identifying and delivering challenging development opportunities on brown and green field sites, the refurbishment and restoration of listed and historic buildings, and mixed use urban regeneration sites.

Established links with a number of land agents, facilitates our land finding and feasibility services as well as providing the opportunity to appraise suitability for future development. Seddon also has the ability to land bank strategic sites for long-term and medium-term development, as well as offering customers the opportunity to purchase completed units from our own list of developments.

Bespoke Joinery

Through our JV model, Seddon provides high-quality, bespoke joinery solutions for private and public sector customers.

A team of highly skilled and experienced in-house joiners, with over 100 years of experience, combine the use of cutting edge 5-axis CNC CAD and APM driven machinery with traditional carpentry techniques.

Painting

We are proud to have a team of highly skilled in-house painters and decorators, many of whom started their careers with us as apprentices. All the team are fully qualified in surface preparation, prior-to-paint repairs, and the correct techniques to use in different environments, from schools, to hospitals, to homes and offices, whether internal or external, planned or cyclical maintenance, specialist coatings or historical property redecoration.

In-house resource means we can easily plan, organise and manage an entire commercial painting project or property portfolio and our combination of national coverage and local knowledge means that the team are expertly placed to deliver both planned painting services and more bespoke one-off decorating services. Sector expertise is combined with hands-on, practical know-how, and complemented by an outstanding record for Health and Safety.

Building and Construction

With a focus on safety and on-time delivery, we work in partnership with our private and public sector customers to deliver a service that exceeds their expectations; we pride ourselves on delivering high quality, efficient and cost effective schemes.

Leadership is focused on the customers’ requirements, and management and operational teams are assembled using the Belbin model for teams, bringing the right people together, to ensure a high performing team that achieves its goals.
