Seddon to deliver first North of England PegasusLife project in Wilmslow

New high quality development for Cheshire’s Golden Triangle set to complete in 2017

Builder and developer Seddon will deliver Chapelwood, a development of 57 spacious, light and flexible apartments, redolent of the many local Victorian mansion houses.

Built on the site of a former manor house, Chapelwood offers a range of two bedroom apartments for people over sixty. Designed by Glenn Howell Architects, it is a scheme that has been designed to enhance the local, green environment and seamlessly connect with its surroundings.

Howard Penstone, Chapelwood Development Director, PegasusLife, says: "We’re thrilled to be working with Seddon to bring the PegasusLife philosophy to the north of England. At Chapelwood, we’re creating more than just apartments: an extensive wellness suite, delicatessen and guest suite for visiting friends and family, reinforce our commitment to creating socially inclusive communities, designed with specific sites and landscapes in mind.”

The project includes a Central Combined Heat and Power plant as part of the development to ensure an environmentally sound, independent supply of energy for the development’s residents. Seddon is also building a sauna, gym, hydrotherapy pool and treatment rooms alongside a restaurant and lounge.

Seddon’s latest contract win comes just weeks after the appointment of Ed Wootton as Regional Director for North West Construction. Ed said: "Having been appointed to two major retirement living contracts in such a short space of time demonstrates that we are one of the key providers in this market when it comes to realising an innovative design.

"We are proud to play a part in Chapelwood’s development and look forward to working with PegasusLife.”
