Seddon secures major framework win following expansion into Wales

Builder and developer Seddon has secured places on all 13 lots of a £55 million Welsh housing framework two months after reopening its offices in the region.

The appointment to Undod will see the company bid for new build and refurbishment works across Wales over the next four years.

The framework covers new build developments, kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, renovation and remodelling, rewiring and aids and adaptations with contracts ranging from thousands of pounds to upwards of £2 million.

Undod was established by Mid-Wales Housing Association and works in partnership with Cymdeithas Tai Eryri, Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd, and North Wales Housing Association.

The firm’s appointment to 13 lots on the framework comes only one month after Seddon welcomed Nikki Waud as a Business Development Manager as it opened the doors to its new base in Mold, Flintshire.

Nikki Waud said: "Seddon has a long history of working in Wales, and this framework appointment marks the start of what is set to be a very exciting time for the firm in the region as we reopen our office.

"Seddon has a great pedigree when it comes to delivering new build and refurbishment projects for the social housing sector, having worked extensively with providers on a wide range of projects for decades.

"We are looking forward to working on a range of projects across Wales, bringing our experience in education, commercial contracts, care and social housing to the region, and are currently looking for suppliers to get involved with our projects.”
