Seddon motors ahead with contract for £2.5m Hyundai dealership

Meridian Motor Group has appointed Seddon to build its £2.5 million new Hyundai dealership in Stockport.

The company has just started work on the flagship dealership at Kings Reach, next to junction 1 of the M60 motorway. Trading under Meridian’s Vantage brand, it will be Vantage’s largest Hyundai dealership and will help spearhead the brand’s continuing expansion in the North West. It will trade as Vantage Hyundai - Stockport.

The new development, set for completion in summer 2014, will create a ten-car showroom, eight-bay workshop and space for 60 used cars.

Mark Robinson, managing director, Meridian Motor Group, says:  "After two years of searching, negotiating and planning, we are pleased to have finally agreed to build this strategically important Hyundai Centre. Seddon have worked hard with us to make this happen and we are pleased to be able to confirm them as our construction partner. We are looking forward to this project going live next summer.”

"We’re excited to be using our expertise in delivering high-quality, commercial buildings to  create this high-end new dealership,” says Seddon business unit manager Andrew Slaney. "Built to the most exacting standards, in line with Vantage’s own commitment to quality and excellence, it will help ensure that the business continues to deliver the superb customer service for which it is known.”

Meridian acquired the land for the development from Seddon’s own developments business.
