Background

Metro's Sports and Social Club has been established for over 100 years and during a difficult financial period, has turned to The Seddon Group to help secure the club's future.

Project

The project will comprise the remodeling and construction of a new sports and social clubhouse with new build apartments and homes for sale.

New and modern, the clubhouse and bowling green have been carefully designed to ensure construction phasing allows the club to continue operating throughout the project.

A Local Authority Planning Moratorium was in place and in order to successfully steer it through the process a full programme of public and political support was undertaken.

The club held an open day and viewing event for local members to allow them to see a display of how the project will look, whilst Seddon representatives attended to answer any questions or queries, all of which received very positive feedback.

Endorsement

"The construction and remodeling of our new club required sophisticated and sensitively thought-out plans and Seddon came back with far superior solutions than their competitors. They spent time and effort demonstrating to us how they could help and even took us to see one of their previous projects.

A crucial moment in the decision for me personally came when a builder in our area described Seddon as 'top class' following his apprenticeship with them. He advised us that without their leadership and guidance, he would not be a successful self-employed builder now, which was further confirmation that Seddon was definitely the right choice.

Their thorough approach to the project, from gaining the support of members to enabling the continued use of the club, has been testament to Seddon's professional attitude and clear understanding of our requirements."
